If you are not already using Firefox, they you are definitely missing out!
Kydex secrets makes a few cents to keep the website going when you download and install firefox, but that is NOT why we are promoting it. We would be promoting it even if we weren't making a cent. The very first thing i install on a new computer is Firefox.
First of all - Firefox is COMPLETELY FREE. nothing to signup for, no catches.
Why should you switch? There are so many reasons, here are just a few:
- Firefox is much more secure.
- There is no support for VBScript and ActiveX, two technologies which are the reasons for many IE security holes.
- No spyware/adware software can automatically install in Firefox just by visiting a web site.
- Firefox doesn't use Microsoft's Java, which has a history of more flaws than other Java.
- You have complete control over cookies.
- Firefox innovates before Microsoft - The reason you now see "tabbed" browsing in Internet Explorer is because of it's popularity with Firefox. Firefox had tabbed browsing YEARS before Microsoft integrated it into Internet Exploder.
- Why give Bill Gates a monopoly over your internet experience? The whole reason Microsoft was sued over Anti-Trust Violations was because Internet Exploder was rooted to deeply into the operating system, and they made it more difficult for people to use alternate browsers like what Firefox is today.
- Firefox has tons of extensions, or mini programs that work within it to customize browsing the web.
- It comes with Google toolbar installed! Have a google search box availible at any time up on your toolbar. Also use functions like Highlight to help you find specific words you searched for on a web page.
Believe me It's time to switch The new version of Internet exploder is even more hideous that previous versions. Shake loose the shackles of Microsoft!
